Cowboy inspired theme at Palm Studio
There’s something special about opening the doors of a studio and letting creativity take over.
On September 4, 2026, Palm Studio hosted its very first Palm Studio After Hours — an evening created for photographers, models, content creators, and local creatives to come together, explore the newly refreshed studio, and simply make something.
Located in Northwood Village in West Palm Beach, Palm Studio has always been more than a place to take photographs. My vision for the space is to create a home for creativity — somewhere photographers can experiment, meet other artists, build their portfolios, learn, and feel inspired.
A New Chapter for Palm Studio
After refreshing and renovating the studio, I wanted to celebrate the space in a way that felt true to what Palm Studio is becoming.
Instead of a traditional open house, I wanted people to actually use the studio.
For the first After Hours event, we gave the space a little Western-inspired editorial energy. Photographers brought their cameras, friends, models, and creative ideas, while everyone had the opportunity to explore the studio and create content.
The evening was intentionally relaxed. There was no pressure to have a perfect concept or elaborate production. It was simply an invitation to walk through the door and create.
More Than an Open Studio
One of my favorite things about photography is how much we can learn from one another.
A photographer might arrive wanting to test a new lighting technique and leave with a completely different idea. A model might connect with a photographer for a future collaboration. A content creator might discover a new location for their next project.
That kind of connection is exactly what I want Palm Studio to encourage.
During the evening, guests were able to:
Explore the newly refreshed Palm Studio
Create portraits and social media content
Experiment with lighting and posing
Practice directing and working with models
Build their portfolios
Meet other local photographers and creatives
Learn more about Palm Studio's membership community
And, of course, there was plenty of time to just hang out and talk photography.
Building a Creative Community in West Palm Beach
Palm Studio After Hours is part of a bigger idea.
I want Palm Studio to become a place where the South Florida creative community can regularly gather — not just to rent a studio, but to learn, collaborate, experiment, and connect.
Through future workshops, studio nights, photography meetups, creative shoots, and educational events, my goal is to continue creating opportunities for photographers and creatives at every level.
Whether you're just learning your camera or you've been photographing professionally for years, there should always be room to keep experimenting.
Looking Back
The first Palm Studio After Hours was a small beginning, but it represented something much bigger for me.
It was the first opportunity to open the newly refreshed studio to the creative community and say:
Come in. Make something. Meet someone. Try something new.
And this is only the beginning.
